We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Newcastle.

About the role

  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
  • Develop equipment procurement packages, designs, calculations and cost estimates for conventional engineering, research, and development assignments.
  • Build strong networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and with clients.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and tenders (such as estimating design hours).
  • Monitor workload and remain within assigned parameters, alerting supervisor if any deviation is anticipated.

About you

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Experience in engineering consulting and EPC/EPCM projects in the mining and resources sectors or wet & pumps experience highly desirable.
  • Design experience using S3D, HELIX, Rocky, Autopipe, PSFF, Hammer etc. highly regarded.
  • Project and/or site experience highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
