We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at South Coast Hospital in Victor Harbor. As a Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women in the Maternity Department.
About the RoleThis is a temporary part-time position working 15.2 hours per week, up to 1 January 2025, over a 7-day roster. You will be responsible for assessing women's needs, planning, implementing, and coordinating appropriate care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in assessing women's needs and planning, implementing, and coordinating appropriate care and service delivery.
- Work in partnership with women, respecting and supporting their right to self-determination in the life processes of pregnancy, birthing, and parenthood.
- Deliver high-quality midwifery care, empowering women to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to women and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practising certificate. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and flexibility when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.
