About The Role

The Aboriginal Consultant Officer provides specialist advice and support to the team. This role is responsible for increasing confidence, awareness and appropriate responses to Aboriginal children and families for early intervention to prevent escalation into the statutory system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides specialist advice and support to the team.
  • Engages with stakeholders to increase confidence, awareness and appropriate responses to Aboriginal children and families.
  • Conducts Child Protection and Wellbeing risk appraisals.
