Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' sites, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training and support to MSS employees and contractors on restraint and other security-related topics, with a focus on the healthcare environment.
- Ensure compliance with MSS Security and customer SLA requirements, including conducting investigations and liaising with management and clients as needed.
- Assist management with resolving site issues and conducting disciplinary actions for minor breaches.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure site operating procedures are up-to-date and maintained, and that all personnel are fully compliant with company policy.
- Provide advice, counseling, and guidance to personnel on risk and performance management issues.
- Ensure all security officers are correctly uniformed and licensed, and that uniforms are delivered to sites as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and addressing any customer dissatisfaction.
- Be aware of and follow company policy and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Report and recommend solutions for non-compliances that may affect the quality of service provided.
Employee Engagement
- Identify training and development needs for employees.
- Provide employees with feedback and recognition.
- Identify and rectify employee issues.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Achieve a positive employee relations environment where employees are engaged and motivated.
- Provide positive leadership by example to all field personnel.
- Provide back-up and 'last resort' coverage of shifts in critical circumstances.
- Attend to site emergencies, incidents, and accidents, and accompany injured workers to medical assistance.
- Complete daily shift reports, including issues, actions, and possible market intelligence.
- Ensure all mandatory training modules are completed.
