Job Title: Finance Analyst, Retail

As a Finance Analyst in the Retail business unit, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and insightful financial analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and preparation of comprehensive Asset Plans across the Retail portfolio. These plans are crucial for shaping strategic decision-making and driving performance within the broader Real Estate business.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial insights are aligned with business objectives, helping to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support long-term value creation.

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Building and maintaining cash flow and internal valuation models to assess key investment metrics, including IRRs, income yield, and capital returns at both asset and portfolio levels.
  • Performance & Strategic Analysis: Conducting in-depth analysis on leasing, benchmarking, and sensitivity scenarios to support strategic decision-making and portfolio performance reviews.
  • Reporting & Insights: Preparing accurate and timely property, portfolio, and fund-level reports; developing dashboards and KPIs to visualize key business metrics and trends.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and strong commercial outcomes.
  • Business Support & Continuous Improvement: Supporting acquisition/divestment activities, contributing to due diligence, and driving process improvements while upholding Dexus values and workplace safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is essential.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Background in Business, Property, or Land Economics is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in analytical roles within property or retail sectors.
  • Exposure to property valuation in agency or institutional settings is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Core Solutions, Forecast Manager, TM1, and data visualization tools such as Excel and Power BI.
