Position Title: Engagement and Physical Education Specialist

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced teacher to join our school community as an Engagement and Physical Education Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of whole-school strategies that promote student engagement, attendance, connectedness, and positive behaviour.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in health, physical education, and student engagement practices, with the ability to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programs that improve student learning, wellbeing, and participation across the school.

As a key member of our teaching team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality curriculum programs that meet the diverse needs of all students. You will also provide professional leadership, mentoring, coaching, and professional learning in the areas of student engagement, wellbeing, and physical education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate whole-school strategies that promote student engagement, attendance, connectedness, and positive behaviour
  • Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based programs that improve student learning, wellbeing, and participation
  • Provide professional leadership, mentoring, coaching, and professional learning in the areas of student engagement, wellbeing, and physical education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality curriculum programs that meet the diverse needs of all students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in health, physical education, and student engagement practices
  • Ability to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
