Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving improvements and efficient commercialization of products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, with experience in TPM/LEAN and a deep understanding of unit operations such as mixing, homogenizing, cross-contamination and sanitization, across both discrete and flow-based production systems.

This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive implementation of cost improvement, energy saving, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide process engineering support and technical expertise to departments in process issues
  • Develop CI and LEAN knowledge amongst senior leaders and shop floor employees
  • Pillar lead for FI (Focused Improvement) TPM Pillar streams of work (loss analysis & focused improvement)
  • Data analysis to identify current gaps and opportunities for improvements
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to drive implementation of cost improvement, energy saving, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • BSc in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial preferred
  • Food Science or extensive applicable trade experience in FMCG environment
  • Sound working knowledge of plant operations, packaging and processing equipment and engineering
  • Experience in TPM/LEAN
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
