As an API Specialist, you will be responsible for managing client's API Management and Integration platform. Your duties will include updating design artifacts, implementing proposed changes, collaborating with diverse teams for testing and release, driving integration across various client's systems, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues, playing a key role in project planning and solution design, resolving problems innovatively, contributing to strategic initiatives, fostering teamwork, clear communication, and effective direction, and building and sustaining relationships for impactful outcomes.
In this role, you will work on a wide range of tasks including governance of client's API Management and Integration platform, update design artifacts and implement proposed changes, collaborate with diverse teams for testing and release, drive integration across various client's systems, provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, play a key role in project planning and solution design, resolve problems innovatively, contribute to strategic initiatives, foster teamwork, clear communication, and effective direction, build and sustain relationships for impactful outcomes, and expertise in API Management tools such as IBM API Connect, WSO2, MuleSoft.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have expertise in API Management tools, proficiency in API lifecycle, authentication (OAuth2, OpenID, SAML), event-driven architecture and messaging experience, strong integration platform familiarity, modern RESTful Web APIs (XML, JSON), Swagger/OpenAPI, web services, REST API, XML, XSLT, JSON mastery, enterprise application integration, CI/CD tools exposure, API development and systems integration prowess, database technology understanding, and system performance troubleshooting skills.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, based on the national average for similar positions in Canberra. However, please note that this figure is only an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
