Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level fitness instruction to members, creating tailored fitness programs, and maintaining a high level of knowledge about the latest industry trends.

As a Gym Instructor, you will play a key role in engaging with customers, providing coaching and mentoring, and ensuring the health and safety of all staff and customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Professional Fitness Instruction: Develop and deliver customized fitness programs that cater to the diverse needs of our members.
  • Engage with Customers: Build strong relationships with members, provide exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming environment in the gymnasium.
  • Maintain Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and techniques to ensure our members receive the best possible experience.
  • Support Health and Safety Initiatives: Oversee the evacuation of the gymnasium, comply with all applicable policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness: Hold or be willing to attain a Certificate III and IV in Fitness or equivalent.
  • Customer Service Experience: Possess previous experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Qualifications and Attributes: Maintain a current working with children check, hold first aid and CPR qualifications, and possess personal attributes such as being focused on the customer, understanding/enjoying the leisure industry, and motivated to serve.
