Trades Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trades Assistant to join our dynamic team in Western Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tradesmen with routine maintenance tasks, performing general facility site repairs, and expanding their skill base into the maintenance and/or repairs of all on-site equipment.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and productivity.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist tradesmen with routine maintenance tasks
  • Perform general facility site repairs
  • Expand skill base into maintenance and/or repairs of all on-site equipment
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and management teams
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience with power tools and equipment on a professional or personal level
  • Carpentry experience is highly regarded
  • Construction experience like labouring is essential
  • Mechanical and Fabrication experience is highly regarded
  • Excellent work ethic and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety culture while maximizing productivity
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while being committed to the work of a team
  • Current driver's license (C class) manual and own transport to and from the workplace
  • Ability to handle a busy and diverse workload
  • Forklift licence is not necessary but will be highly regarded
