Are you looking for a leadership role where you can make a real impact in the field of mental health? As a Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop the Official Visitors Program under the NSW Mental Health Act.

About the Role

The Program Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing human resources functions, and ensuring compliance with public sector accountabilities and relevant NSW Health policy directives.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of contemporary mental health policy, research, advocacy, and service delivery.

They will also have experience in human resource functions and financial management, and be able to monitor, develop, and implement quality improvement initiatives and program realignment to changing and emerging mental health policy and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and strategic policy advice to the Official Visitors Program
  • Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, appraisals, development, and workplace learning
  • Monitor, develop, and implement quality improvement initiatives and program realignment
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation
  • A thorough understanding of contemporary mental health policy, research, advocacy, and service delivery
  • Experience in human resource functions and financial management
