Electrical Technician Job Description

The role of the Electrical Technician involves performing various tasks such as machine installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. The technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production machinery to ensure continuous operation.

  • Determine causes of malfunctioning equipment and conduct tests to restore functionality.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.

  • Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.

Essential skills for this role include a diploma in Electrical or related Technical Engineering, combination of additional education and experience, experience as a Machine Operator, aptitude for math, problem-solving, computer skills, and mechanics.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.

This position requires ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals, analytical skills, teamwork and communication skills, physical stamina and strength.
