Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data workflows, practices, and systems for secure and efficient data creation, storage, retrieval, and sharing.
  • Support project compliance by applying and maintaining Project Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Enable team capability through technical assistance, training, and documentation to ensure best-practice use of data management systems.
  • Collaborate across functions including engineering, security, and commercial teams to support data-related needs and ensure alignment with Defence frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analysing system performance, identifying opportunities for upgrades or new technologies, and resolving data-related issues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing complex technical data in Defence or similar environments, with deep knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001.
  • Expertise in Defence data systems and configuration management practices.
  • Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
  • In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
