Job Description

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure solutions for application deployment, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate cloud provisioning and management.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) into the architecture.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and protocols to protect application and infrastructure assets.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing on applications and infrastructure.
  • Work with development teams to implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability, implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Collaborate with application owners to define deployment strategies and upgrade plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related application issues efficiently.
  • Create, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical applications.
  • Implement robust backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Conduct drills to validate the effectiveness of continuity plans and response strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, security measures, and application management processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members on best practices in application security and cloud management.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and management tasks.
  • Knowledge of web application architecture, APIs, and microservices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
