About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at KU Children's Services. As an Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the developmental needs of children aged birth to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain respectful relationships with families, children, and other stakeholders
  • Support the developmental needs of children through play-based learning and early intervention strategies
  • Administer and score a range of assessments to identify children's strengths and areas for development
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children's goals and outcomes
  • Provide regular feedback and progress updates to families and other professionals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
Requirements
  • Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working with children Check
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
  • A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
