Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to our clients with disabilities.

About the Role

This is a part-time, full-time, or contractor position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. You will have the flexibility to work in the community, with the option to work from home or in our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and provide therapeutic services in homes or schools
  • Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each participant's needs
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work, and residential facilities
  • Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to promote independence
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
