Research Assistant (Clinical Neuropsychology) - Murdoch Children's Research Institute

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. As a Research Assistant, you will play a vital role in advancing research and care for children and adolescents undergoing oncology treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for pediatric patients enrolled in oncology clinical trials and studies
  • Administer Quality of Life (QoL) measures as required
  • Coordinate the timely execution of neuropsychological assessments
  • Score and collate data, manage relevant databases, and write detailed neuropsychological reports
  • Attend research and clinical meetings, liaising with research and clinical staff to ensure compliance with clinical trial requirements
  • Assist with ethics applications, reporting to funding bodies, and prepare written and visual materials for study dissemination

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Registration Board of Australia
  • Endorsement in clinical neuropsychology or eligible for enrolment in the registrar program
  • Training in or currently undertaking training in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Proficiency in scoring, data management, and report writing
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management, organisational and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in or willingness to assist with ethics applications and funding reports
