Payroll Manager Position

Country Fire Authority (CFA) is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead and oversee its payroll function. As a key member of the People Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and HRIS services to CFA staff. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established payroll function and demonstrate your leadership skills and expertise in a close-knit and well-supported team.
About this role- Lead and oversee the payroll function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards.
- Manage a team of experienced payroll staff, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure exceptional payroll and customer services.
- Provide clear and authoritative advice on payroll, remuneration, HRIS systems, and legislation.
- Think creatively to resolve complex payroll tasks and deliver timely, effective results.
- You have strong technical payroll expertise and leadership skills, with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or extensive experience managing a payroll function.
- You are an inclusive leader, prioritising team development and adopting a project management approach to handle complex tasks.
- You have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and can think creatively to provide innovative payroll solutions.
