Job Description

The ideal candidate will work in a variety of settings, including parks and open spaces, completing tasks such as mowing, laying turf, planting, whipper snipping, gardening, weeding, mulching, hedging, poisoning, tree trimming, and basic irrigation. They will also drive manual light trucks, loading, unloading, and securing loads.

  • Manual 'C' class drivers licence is essential for the role.
  • Construction Industry White Card (QLD) is required.

Physically fit applicants are preferred, as they can handle the demands of working outdoors in a hot environment.



Required Skills & Qualifications

Candidates with desirable skills and qualifications include:

  • 'MR' class licence.
  • Chainsaw Ticket (Level 2).
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC).
  • Plant Operators Certificates of Competency.
  • Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) ticket.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Certificate II in Arboriculture or Horticulture.

While these tickets are desired, candidates who don't have them yet are encouraged to apply, as the Council provides training opportunities for staff to obtain necessary qualifications.
