Role Summary

As a key member of the pathology team, you will deliver specialized services in the field of Special Haematology, ensuring adherence to current Australian Standards and internal protocols of the Haematology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential administrative assistance for the management of the Special Haematology Laboratory, focusing on inventory oversight and financial compliance.
  • Engage in workload management and contribute to effective workflow processes.
  • Facilitate training programs and evaluate staff competency.
  • Oversee the maintenance, assessment, and implementation of laboratory procedures and equipment.
  • Collaborate as part of the Management Team within the Haematology Laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Applied Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in various aspects of Special Haematology.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in staff training and development.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a current national criminal history check.
