**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as a Learning Support Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and a deep understanding of their individual needs;
  • You will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement learning tasks and provide support to students who require extra help;
  • You must be able to work effectively with students who have learning and/or social-emotional challenges, providing tailored support to individuals or small groups;
  • You will possess high levels of patience and emotional maturity to manage students who present significant learning or behavioural challenges;
  • You will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the principles of Catholic schools and be willing to contribute actively to school activities;
  • You may be required to assist with toileting and other health needs;
  • You will need to have experience in positive behaviour management strategies and working with students who have high behavioural needs.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all students in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with diverse needs;
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement learning plans;
  • Assist with the management of student behaviour and provide guidance to students on positive behaviour strategies;
  • Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive learning environment;
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
