**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join our cross-functional team in Western Sydney. As a key member of the commercial leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving growth and revenue opportunities for our company.

This is a high-profile opportunity for a commercially experienced professional to develop their strategic capabilities and take on new challenges. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify business opportunities, build analytical models, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance and commercial business partnering, with experience in driving strategic and P&L performance. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with various stakeholders, and communicating complex ideas effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Drive strategic and P&L performance through effective partnership with leadership teams, state managers, operational, and financial stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain advanced analytical decision support capability to support both strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to solve business challenges through effective problem-solving, identifying opportunities, and translating recommendations into execution plans.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Build and own the planning and forecasting framework (monthly, quarterly, and annual) across the state and business lines, highlighting impacts from headwinds and tailwinds.
  • Business partnering: Gather information and context from stakeholders, simplify insights, provide accurate business performance updates, and develop recommendations to overcome market and business volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Evaluate opportunities for enhancement of systems (PowerBI, TM1) and process capabilities to maximize effectiveness and ensure seamless accurate reporting rhythm.
  • Manage ongoing analytics requirements for the ELT, providing critical decision support for the General Manager Finance and Head of Commercial Finance.
  • Scenario planning and analysis – predictive modeling to understand business impacts.
  • Develop business cases for capital and operational investments.
  • Long-range planning and expansion opportunities for the respective state/business line operations.
  • M&A commercial support.
