About You:

  • With at least 2 years of retail experience and people management under your belt, you'll be well-equipped to drive sales performance and lead a team of retail and admissions staff.
  • A background in the Zoo or Aquarium industry is also highly valued.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Retail and Admissions Store Manager to oversee all aspects of our retail store on Green Island. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales targets. If you have a proven track record in store management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding results, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries, providing accurate and helpful information
  • Maintain a clean and well-presented store environment, ensuring products are displayed attractively and priced correctly
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to meet sales targets and exceed customer expectations
  • Lead and mentor a team of retail and admissions staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they deliver exceptional customer service
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with keepers to coordinate feeding presentations and enhance the overall customer experience
  • Oversee stock levels, purchasing, and inventory control, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Monitor and address any maintenance or cleaning issues within the store
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements:

Proven experience in store management, with a strong focus on customer service and sales growthExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detailA creative and flexible approach to solving problems and meeting challenges
