Health Service Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Coordinator to join our team. This role involves carrying out scheduled inspections of licensed premises, providing support and guidance to direct reports, and promoting a positive work culture.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Health or equivalent qualifications, with considerable experience as an Environmental Health Officer. They will also possess extensive technical skills and expertise in interpreting relevant legislation, excellent customer service and communication skills, and experience in supervision and training.
This is a permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week, with access to flexi-time and a commencing salary range from $98,485 - $104,514 per annum. The role offers a great culture, strong values, and a progressive team environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver public and environmental health services relating to food premises, legionella control, commercial and public owned swimming pools, skin penetration, and onsite sewage management.
- Investigate complaints on health-related issues, including food-borne illness outbreaks, and undertake regulatory action as required by legislation.
- Provide assessments of development applications relevant to environmental health requirements.
- Offer expert advice and information to the community, Council, and other stakeholders on community safety matters and legislative changes.
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Health or equivalent qualifications.
- Considerable experience as an Environmental Health Officer or similar position.
- Extensive technical skills and expertise in interpreting relevant legislation.
- Excellent customer service, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in supervision, training, mentoring, and coaching staff.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence - Class C.
- Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week, with access to flexi-time.
- Commencing salary range from $98,485 - $104,514 per annum.
