Gas Fitter - LPG Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team as an LPG Installation Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining gas equipment at our customer and terminal sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Installations: Complete new LPG installations to prescribed time frames in line with required codes and standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory and company requirements for bulk tanks, cylinders, and terminals.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively participate in all residential, commercial, and industrial installations in the area, promoting Origin services and building relationships with customers to ensure best possible return for the business.
  • LPG Advice: Provide advice on LPG gas installations to customers, including internal contacts.
  • Quotations: Prepare quotations to account managers for new or upgraded installations in line with required codes and standards.
  • Installation Review: Review existing installations to ensure they comply with current industry standards and Origin codes.
  • Problem Solving: Determine the most appropriate way to complete an installation, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified Gas Fitter with experience in LPG and Natural Gas installations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant codes and standards, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under pressure.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Trade qualification in Gas Fitting and an unrestricted Level 1 gas fitting license.
  • Experience: Exposure to LPG and Natural Gas installations, including domestic experience with performing B-type servicing, breakdowns, and installation of gas appliances.
  • Licenses: Current Driver's Licence, suitable for all vehicles driven, and desirable Plumbing/Draining and Electrical Licences.
