About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Gas Fitter - Level 1 to join our LPG Energy Markets Business, based in Brisbane.

The position provides gas fitting services for the installation and maintenance of gas equipment at customer and terminal sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Complete new installations to prescribed time frames in line with required codes and standards.
  • Complete records in accordance with statutory and company requirements for bulk tanks, cylinders, and terminals.
  • Actively participate in all residential, commercial, and industrial installations in the area.
  • Promote Origin services to and build relationships with customers to ensure best possible return for the business.
  • Provide advice on LPG gas installations to customers, including internal contacts.
  • Provide quotations to account managers for new or upgraded installations in line with required codes and standards.
  • Review existing installations to ensure they comply with current industry standards and Origin codes.
  • Determine the most appropriate way to complete an installation.
  • Completion of required documents under the permit to work system.

Requirements:

  • You place a high priority on searching for new ways to gain efficiency without sacrifice to the customer, service or safety.
  • You demonstrate a competent knowledge of established workplace and industry procedures for LPG supply, servicing and distribution.
  • You are able to work in an outside environment and be prepared to learn and comply with Company and Statutory requirements.
  • You possess a current Driver's Licence, suitable for all vehicles driven.
  • You are a trade qualified Gas Fitter, with an unrestricted gas fitting license and exposure to LPG and Natural Gas.
