Allocator Role Overview

_allocator is responsible for processing customer orders and coordinating a cost-effective supply arrangement with customers.__allocator interfaces with our truck network to ensure timely deliveries and provides delivery status information to customers.

The role requires utilizing computerized systems to view stock levels, coordinate despatch and allocate loads to trucks. Additionally, allocator must utilize truck tracking systems to monitor deliveries and provide real-time updates to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders in a timely manner
  • Coordinate a cost-effective supply arrangement with customers
  • Interface with our truck network to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitor deliveries and provide real-time updates to customers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Previous logistics experience preferably with allocations, planning, despatch, general freight and/or warehousing is an asset
