The Early Childhood Teacher is a pivotal figure in fostering an inclusive and engaging atmosphere for young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of programs that align with the approved learning framework, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
  • Nurture positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and community members through open communication and empathy.
  • Cultivate play-based learning environments that cater to children's interests, strengths, and abilities, promoting their emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
  • Guide and support educators in implementing the program and philosophy for the children, providing ongoing coaching and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Early Childhood Education degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in child development and educational theory.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as an ECT, preferably in a leadership role, showcasing exceptional leadership skills and ability to drive change.
  • A work history demonstrating recording observations, writing learning stories, and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework, highlighting expertise in assessment and evaluation.
  • Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF, enabling effective implementation and promotion of best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and community members, as well as the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
