We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor with a strong background in Civil/Rail construction projects to join us in delivering the $1.6B contract for Perth's High Capacity Signalling Project. This project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the new Automatic Train Control System to replace the existing signalling and train control systems in Perth.
This role will support business unit operations and management to ensure compliance with local HSE management plans, regularly review risk registers, and implement programs stipulated in the project HSE plans, together with HSE Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A knowledge of PTA Safe Working Rules is advantageous
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a Safety role in a construction environment
- Knowledge of Safety Management System techniques and tools
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- Experience in delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space, and rescue training
- Experience in developing, analysing, and reporting on complex project performance, compliance, and defects and/or non-conformance
- Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to the project
- Skill and experience using Corporate Management Systems & Rehabilitation
The salary range for this position is between AU$120,000 and AU$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
