**Key Role:** Justice Officer - Finance

Job Description

The Finance Justice Officer will provide financial and procurement services to the Department of Justice and Community Safety. The role will contribute to the efficiency of the finance function through business improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality financial and procurement services in accordance with government regulations and guidelines
  • Contributing to business improvement initiatives
  • Performing accounts functions, including prisoner private monies administration, accounts payable, receivable, reconciliation, data entry, and reporting

Additionally, the successful candidate will have well-developed computer skills, proficiency in software and standard office equipment, knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations, and experience or understanding of working within a correctional environment.

**About the Business Unit:**

The Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct incorporates four custodial facilities located in Victoria. The BSW Prison Services Team provides operational and administrative services to the facilities.
