Strategic Risk Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced risk management professional to lead our integrated risk and compliance functions. This key role will provide strategic guidance to senior executives, drive excellence in risk management practices, and shape the long-term vision for our organisation.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned risk leader to progress their career and contribute to our ongoing success. The successful candidate will have a strong background in risk management, assurance, business continuity, and audit, with experience leading and managing teams in large and complex organisations.

The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain a robust risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. They will also oversee the development and management of an independent internal audit service, manage risk financing arrangements, and provide specialist privacy risk and compliance advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and cultivate a culture of risk management excellence
  • Oversee integrated risk and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework
  • Manage risk financing arrangements and oversee insurance renewals
  • Provide specialist privacy risk and compliance advice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Auditing, Business/Management, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Extensive risk management experience and expertise
  • A sound understanding of legislative frameworks, standards, and best practices
  • Experience leading and managing teams in large and complex organisations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic thinking and project management expertise
