Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to lead our risk function as a Chief Risk Officer. This role will provide strategic guidance to senior executives and oversee integrated risk and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and cultivate a culture of risk management excellence.
  • Oversee integrated risk and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enhance an effective risk management framework, ensuring compliance with legislation and education requirements.
  • Manage the internal audit contract, liaising directly with the CEO and overseeing audit processes to ensure compliance and effective risk mitigation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Auditing, Business/Management, Accounting, or related discipline with relevant experience OR equivalent expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
  • Extensive risk management experience and expertise.
  • A sound understanding of legislative frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in large and complex organisations.
About the Role

This is a critical leadership position that requires a strong risk management background and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and threats to the organisation.

The Chief Risk Officer will work closely with senior executives to provide strategic guidance on risk management and compliance matters. They will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities and the audit risk committee.
