Data Centre Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a Data Centre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all production server hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute basic troubleshooting and triage incoming incidents in support of DC operations.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all production server hardware and software.
  • Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong adherence to processes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
  • Work on a rotating shift basis, including on-call.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment.
  • Background in Linux.
  • Knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
