Senior Estimator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Water Infrastructure Projects team within Fulton Hogan Utilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive your career further and gain industry-relevant experience with on-the-job skill development and coaching offered throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate estimates for Utility based projects using first principles
• Obtain and review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs
• Participate in review processes with senior management
• Lead estimates, setting up templates, developing procurement schedules, and presenting first principles methodology at reviews
• Understand and follow established estimating processes to ensure internal governance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in a tier 1 environment
• Experience pricing large and small Water/Waste Water projects, ideally involving Utility Infrastructure
• Familiarity with financial and project management principles
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience in using Expert Estimation is desired, but not required
• Experience in estimating O&M rates based opportunities will be highly regarded
