Job Title:

Mental Health Clinician

Job Description:

This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of people accessing the service within a community-based mental health care setting.

Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive assessment, brief and ongoing interventions, risk management and care planning, working collaboratively across health service networks to plan and coordinate individualized psychosocial interventions, and working cooperatively and effectively through active participation within the multidisciplinary mental health team.

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and intervention services to individuals with mental health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant qualification in psychology, occupational therapy, nursing or social work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing evidence-based interventions for mental health issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups.
  • A strong understanding of mental health legislation and policy.
