Job Overview

In this role as Financial Operations Specialist at moomoo, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Your focus will be on overseeing the settlement process, monitoring operational risks, and contributing to the success of our Australian business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Securities Settlement: You will oversee the accurate and timely execution of all instructions related to FX, stock/option settlement, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service.
  • Client Shares Transfer Process: Facilitate the transfer of client shares with ease and efficiency.
  • CORPORATE ACTIONS: Manage corporate actions both domestically and internationally, guaranteeing compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Risk Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor operational and risk metrics, promptly escalating any potential issues or anomalies to ensure the highest level of quality control.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with customer service and marketing teams to continuously enhance customer experiences.
  • Liquidity Management: Skilfully manage liquidity and minimize risk in coordination with the finance team, ensuring the stability and growth of our business.
  • Operational Process Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives to enhance operational processes and reduce risk, driving continuous improvement within our organization.
  • Compliance and AML/KYC: Close collaboration with compliance teams to maintain a robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) program.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test controls to guarantee customers receive exceptional execution quality with venues.
  • Procedure Formulation: Formulate, review, and enhance operational procedures and workflows in response to regulatory changes and business conditions.
  • Trade Reconciliation: Daily reconciliation of client/exchange/broker trades/option and positions, along with preparation of daily funding requirements.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients and counterparties to address settlement issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Project Participation: Active participation in projects and implementation of new business/system enhancements.
Requirements
  • A minimum 1~2 years of experience in Operations/Settlement/Remittance gained in financial or brokerage firms, or crypto-related context is highly desired;
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines:
  • Sound knowledge of the relevant rules and regulations of ASIC and AUSTRAC;
  • Self-motivated, with a good analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure;
  • Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a plus;
  • Proficient in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office Suite.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $85,000 per annum, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the skills and expertise required for this position. Note that salaries can vary widely depending on factors such as location, industry, experience, and performance.
