Lead Clinical Coordinator

About the Role

This esteemed organization is seeking a highly skilled Lead Clinical Coordinator to oversee Nursing and Animal Attendant teams, ensuring exceptional outcomes for patients and staff alike.

The successful candidate will lead daily hospital rounds, collaborate with senior nursing leaders and department heads, develop and maintain SOPs for predictable, repeatable care, and partner with the Clinical Director to align care delivery with our medical identity.


Responsibilities
  • Strategic Clinical Leadership
    • Oversee daily hospital operations and morning huddles (Monday to Friday)
    • Collaborate with senior nursing leaders and department heads to drive clinical excellence
    • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for predictable, repeatable care
    • Partner with the Clinical Director to ensure alignment of care delivery with organizational goals
    • Promote best practices across ARH sites through collaborative efforts
  • Team Management & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top nursing talent through structured career planning
    • Foster a high-performing team culture that prioritizes collaboration and mutual respect
    • Resource & Workflow Planning
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive master roster aligned with operational needs
    • Balance resources across departments to meet changing demands
    • Manage referral coordination directly or through delegation to optimize patient care
    • Collaborate with Radiographer, Anaesthetist, and other departments to streamline workflow
  • Policy & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
    • Contribute to policy development and procedural improvements that enhance operational efficiency
    • Support team members in problem-solving and change implementation to drive continuous improvement
    • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions

About You
  • Veterinary nursing qualifications or a veterinary degree are essential for success in this role
  • Experience in hospital coordination or team leadership in a specialist hospital is crucial
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are vital for this position
