Job Title: Youth Advocate

About the Role

This is a meaningful and challenging role that involves working with schools to address barriers impacting student access, preparation, and progress.

You will provide comprehensive support services and professional advice to students and families across the area, including assistance for vulnerable students, those with learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, mental health concerns, disabilities, and school transitions.

Social workers play a vital role in responding to critical incidents within school communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to schools and teachers to improve student learning and wellbeing
  • Develop and implement social work services to support students and families
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to respond to complex cases
  • Build relationships with schools, teachers, and community members to promote student success
