Energy Management Director

About the Role
The Associate Director, Energy Management is a key member of the Singtel Group's sustainability team, responsible for driving the efficient and effective use of energy across the portfolio and its assets. This role requires a strong understanding of energy management principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Singtel Group's energy management policy, setting achievable targets for energy use and designing action plans to achieve targets with ongoing measurement and reporting of progress.
- Strategic approaches to energy efficiency that are built into project design and delivery, enhancing return on investment and reducing ongoing costs.
- Develop renewables strategies for the Singtel Group with the Sustainability team to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
- Water consumption reduction strategies.
- Implement a comprehensive data management strategy around energy, water, refrigerant, gas, and diesel.
- Management of outsourced utility management partner.
- Responsible for all energy cost modelling and forecasting and tracking against these targets.
- Identification and tracking and reporting against energy saving opportunities with larger stakeholder group.
- Reducing business risks associated with rising energy prices and inefficient energy use.
About You
- A degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of the energy sector in Australia, currently challenges of the sector, and understanding of how the sector needs to transition.
- A good technical understanding of a range of equipment and processes used in the electricity generation sector and key issues affecting each technology.
- Relevant experience in energy management, energy efficiency, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and leadership skills.
