Job Opportunity

We're seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering team, continuing the development and implementation of metallurgical functions within Primero Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction, advice, and control of process work.
  • Define scope, estimate, and control process engineering activities.
  • Plan man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings, and staffing requirements to satisfy project requirements.
  • Coordinate process engineering design and drafting.
  • Complete complex process design activities, including simulation.
  • Liaise with other discipline lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters.
  • Assist asset/client engineers in defining process engineering work, design approach, and criteria.
  • Produce timely deliverables and work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
  • Ensure personal safety and safe working practices, understanding and following OH&S procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Chemical, Metallurgical, or Minerals Processing Engineering or related disciplines (recognized by IEAust).
  • 12+ years' experience in engineering, operation, and/or commissioning works.
  • Experience in the resource (mining/oil & gas) industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team or individually.
  • Strong perception and implementation of HSE.
  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful to cope with load fluctuations.
  • Deliver a quality product on schedule.
  • Possess a strong understanding of applicable codes of practice.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings.
