About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for creating and implementing a Systems Engineering Management Plan and leading the Systems Engineering function for a new program of work.
Responsibilities
-
Develop a comprehensive Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) for a major program of work, in accordance with an ASDEFCON template.
-
Collaborate with counterparts across Engineering to plan and produce the relevant sections of the SEMP.
-
As the inaugural Systems Engineer on the program, define the systems engineering strategy, expand the team, and grow capability.
-
Evolve and revise the SEMP in alignment with the growth and changing deliverables of the program.
About you
-
Bachelor of Engineering, or related technical discipline
-
Proven industry experience in defence programs
-
Strong knowledge and experience with EIA-632 Processes for Engineering a System
-
Experience in a complex organisation
-
Demonstrated ability to manage large, complicated, multi-dimensional projects and tasks applying a Systems Engineering methodology.
-
Ability to provide supervision and direction to a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical personnel.
-
Extensive experience across Systems Engineering lifecycles, methods, tools and techniques and their application to complex problems.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
