About the Role:

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our team in Australia. As an Injury Management Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing strategic advice to case managers on establishing appropriate medical strategies, developing robust treatment plans, and developing sound return to work plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Influence health and occupational rehabilitation providers in relation to the appropriateness of treatment and adherence to scheme principles.
  • Drive rehabilitation providers to achieve required outcomes.
  • Review and determine appropriate treatment in line with clinical frameworks.
  • Provide needs-based services to people with work-related injuries to achieve the best possible outcome and durable independence for that individual.
  • Ensure tasks and activities are followed through as set out in case conferencing.
  • Assist in the development of strategies.
  • Meet with workers and treaters in coordinating and managing workers' claims.

Requirements:

  • Sound medical knowledge.
  • At least two years' experience in workplace-based rehabilitation, with a preference for a degree in a medical or health-related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injury.
  • Teamwork with coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to interpret and implement decisions according to the rules and regulations.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
