The Role of Quality and Supplier Engagement Lead is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations at the Loading Dock.
This position requires meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all received items meet stringent standards of quality, safety, and compliance with relevant food authority regulations and legislative requirements.
- Ensure adherence to procedural guidelines for maintaining a clean and organized Loading Dock environment.
- Collaborate with Warehouse & Logistics Manager to ensure that Loading Dock staff are adequately trained and compliant with all Quality processes & procedures.
- Monitor reporting tools daily and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in supplier engagement meetings to discuss operational matters and foster proactive communication.
- Review and monitor food and beverage goods received, including expiry dates, weight, quality, packaging integrity, and product temperature checks to guarantee safe receipt.
- Liaise with suppliers to conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles, including fridge and freezer compartments, to ensure food safety standards are upheld. Appropriate action will be taken in cases of non-compliance.
- Facilitate communication with outlet Chefs to ensure timely receipt and storage of orders.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Food & Beverage production environment.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
- Understanding of laws applicable to the industry, specifically the Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol programme, Industrial Relations laws, and WHS laws.
