Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Storage Solutions: Assess and deploy various NetApp storage products and solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle of NetApp storage systems, ensuring they continue to operate efficiently and reliably.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all NetApp storage systems meet strict security and compliance standards.
  • Backup and Recovery: Define robust backup policies and oversee the management of backup and recovery processes.
  • Incident Response: Respond to and resolve storage-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring a resilient storage environment.
  • System Health Monitoring: Monitor the health of deployed storage systems using NetApp's monitoring tools.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Thorough understanding of one or more of the following protocols, applications, and platforms: NFS, CIFS, SAN, iSCSI, TCP/IP, RAID, NetApp Storage System operating systems like Data ONTAP, StorageGrid, and E-Series Operating System (EOS).
  • Infrastructure Automation: Good knowledge of DNS, NIS, and AD, and proficiency in one or more languages suitable for infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Ansible, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Storage Security: Comprehensive knowledge of storage-related security and best practices for system hardening.
  • Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning exercises to forecast and meet capacity requirements efficiently.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Drive infrastructure automation initiatives to solve operational challenges and build tools for monitoring and alerting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Extensive experience (8+ years) in installation, management, and support of enterprise storage systems.
  • NetApp Certifications: NetApp Storage Certifications are a valuable addition to the qualifications.
