Youth Development Coordinator

This role is responsible for providing individualised support and care to young people residing in our Out of Home Care (OOHC) homes.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting young people to develop independent living skills, achieving their goals, engaging in their local communities, and maintaining a safe and welcoming home environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide individualised support to young people residing in our OOHC homes
- Support young people to develop independent living skills
- Support young people to achieve their goals
- Support young people to engage in their local communities
- Maintain a safe and welcoming home environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability
- Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice or willingness to learn
- Qualifications in Community Services, Residential Care, Welfare, or related areas (Cert IV)
- Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma (highly regarded)
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screening Check prior to commencement
- Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
- Willingness to work a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings, and sleepovers
