About This Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-level legal expertise and guidance to support the Commission's decision-making on policy matters. Your role will involve reviewing amendments to national energy rules in accordance with energy laws and the Commission's policy directions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Reviewing Amendments: You will work closely with stakeholders to review and draft amendments to the national energy rules, ensuring compliance with relevant energy laws and policy directions.
  • Providing Legal Advice: You will provide expert legal advice and perspectives to inform the Commission's decision-making on policy matters, drawing on your knowledge of energy laws and regulations.
  • Supporting Governance and Operations: You will contribute to the governance and operational functions of the AEMC, working collaboratively with other teams to achieve business objectives.

You will also assist project teams, conduct legal reviews, and deliver broader in-house legal support.
