About the Opportunity

The Better Futures program is a new support model designed to better prepare young people in their transition from Out of Home Care to independence. As a Better Futures Intake Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that young people receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee client intake, registration, and case allocation
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and engage in client outreach appointments and home visits
  • Be part of strategic and program planning sessions and develop strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Complete monthly and quarterly operational and executive reports and other administrative tasks
  • Actively contribute to developing and implementing strategies
Requirements for Success
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in youth work/community services
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with young people in a similar set up
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver service outcomes on time and in compliance with funding requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative experience and interpersonal skills
  • Current Drivers' Licence and valid WWCC
