Front of House Events Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Front of House Events Assistant Manager to assist our onsite delivery of events. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Front of House Manager, General Manager, Kitchen Manager & Events Management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all events run smoothly and according to schedule.
  • Motivate and lead a team while improving personal development.
  • Brief all FOH staff onsite prior to the event to ensure they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Delegate tasks to staff per event, ensuring impartiality and evaluating staff abilities and progression.
  • Work closely with the Front of House Manager, General Manager, Kitchen Manager & Events Management.
  • Enforce company health, safety and security procedures.
  • Regular reporting to FOH Manager regarding performance, staff suitability, highlighting success stories and addressing areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Australian Open Drivers Licence.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role around high-end dining restaurants, hotels, functions or events.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
  • Prior food hygiene training and/or accreditation is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, being able to deal with clients and staff across all levels and demographics.
  • Proven leadership qualities and ability to delegate tasks.
  • Managing a team across a variety of tasks and space.
  • Hardworking, physically fit and reliable – This role is 90% onsite, 10% administrative tasks.

This role exists to support the onsite delivery of events. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be comfortable working under pressure, and have a passion for great food, wine and beer.
