About the Role

Cochlear is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Team Leader to join our team in Macquarie University and Lane Cove sites. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team to ensure production schedules are met in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, in alignment with our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure high-quality production throughput.
  • Plan and organize work for team members to execute production plans efficiently.
  • Conduct workplace safety observations and participate in the development of risk controls for identified hazards.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and traceability is maintained within manufacturing operations.
About You
  • You have a strong background in lean manufacturing and a passion for problem-solving and waste elimination.
  • You possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence outcomes through coaching and motivating.
  • You are proficient in digital computer systems, including Teams, Riskcloud, Oracle ERP, and Dashboards.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize business needs to deliver results.
  • You are flexible and able to work in either shifts: AM (6am-2pm) and PM (2pm-10pm).
