
Licence Regulation Team Leader Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our Licence Regulation team. As a key member of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of driver licensing services in line with legislation and departmental procedures.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in the public sector as a Licence Regulation Officer within the Department. You will provide technical and administrative support across a range of licensing matters, assist with interpreting policies, and help ensure the accuracy and consistency of information processing.
You will work under the guidance of senior staff, contribute to improving internal processes, and support the team with customer and stakeholder enquiries. This role offers a chance to build expertise in a specialised area, develop your understanding of regulatory frameworks, and make a real contribution to public safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and administrative support across a range of licensing matters
- Assist with interpreting policies and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information processing
- Contribute to improving internal processes and supporting the team with customer and stakeholder enquiries
- Work collaboratively with senior staff and other teams to achieve outcomes
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of databases (such as TRUMPS) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office suite of office products
- Working knowledge of relevant Acts and relevant policy and procedure is highly desirable
Special Conditions:
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department which must be renewed every three years
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required to be renewed every five years before expiry
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required
Benefits:
This is a temporary appointment up to 12-18 months, with potential to convert to ongoing. Multiple positions are available.
Remuneration:
$76,561 to $80,256 per annum + Superannuation-
